Thursday (July 27) is National Intern Day, which was started in 2017 as an opportunity for employers to commemorate and thank their hardworking interns.
From May through September, PG&E will employ 77 interns in various departments, most of them in Electric Operations and Electrical Engineering. These college students, who will gain valuable experience over a 10-12 week period, are majoring in disciplines such as electrical and mechanical engineering, computer science and civil engineering.
While more than half attend colleges and universities in California, this year’s intern class includes students from Ivy League schools such as Brown and Harvard Universities, the University of Waterloo in Canada and a Historically Black College and University.
Meet some of PG&E’s interns and learn why they like working for one of the largest combined natural gas and electric companies in the United States.
